Kenyan problems.
Riara solutions.

InnoHub is where Riara University students and staff record ideas, get mentor review, and grow them into ventures with the Innovation Centre.

How it works

Five stages from idea to venture

Every idea moves through the same pipeline, with the Innovation Centre alongside you.

  1. 01Ideation

Describe the problem and your proposed solution. Drafts stay private until you submit.

  2. 02Validation

Test your assumptions with mentors and early users, and sharpen the solution.

  3. 03Incubation

Build with your team in a workspace the Innovation Centre sets up for milestones, documents and expenses.

  4. 04IP / Launch

Protect what is new and take a first version to market.

  5. 05Commercialization

Grow through licensing, a spin-off company or partnerships.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Who can submit an idea?
Riara University students, faculty and staff. Sign in with your Google account (your university email is recommended) and start a draft. Drafts stay private until you submit.
Who can see my idea?
New disclosures are institution-private: only you, your workspace team and the Innovation Centre see the details. Everyone else sees a locked card that shows the stage but not the title. From the Incubation stage you can request public listing, which the Innovation Centre approves.
How does IP protection work?
Keep sensitive detail private while you work. The Innovation Centre reviews disclosures and advises on patent, copyright or trademark routes before anything is made public. The Institutional Guidelines (IH-GOV-04) explain what each visibility setting exposes.
